| Designed for maximum protection, the efficient dry-type AF
Series intake filter has very low initial resistance to air flow.
This allows it to meet varying filtered air requirements for all types
of equipment
The all weather housing of heavy gauge carbon steel is furnished
with a rust preventative primer coating beneath an all-weather paint.
The rugged weather hood shields against entrance of rain or snow
in outdoor service. The AF filter is designed to mount directly
on the compressor blower, engine inlet or on a remote air inlet
pipe.
Radial Fin filter element standard construction includes a durable
felted polyester medium rated at 98% efficiency on 10 microns and
larger. When conditions demand, alternate media of synthetic fibers
or glasses can be supplied from .3 to 100 microns nominal retention.
A cleanable molded-end element is standard in models AF444-08
and smaller. Larger models are furnished with a cleanable, sewn
end element. Following several field cleanings, the elements can
be returned to the factory for rebuilding and reconditioning. Industrial
Filter Manufacturers will also custom design to meet special application
needs
